Question: Is it possible for a tool to scan all the files in its history when it's run?

I'd like to be able to inspect a history from within a tool, but I don't see an easy way to determine which history a tool is running from. Is there a variable I don't know about that contains the history id?

Alternatively, is there a way to get a database connection to ferret around for these details?

I doubt the collections will be of use... I want to pull a bunch of results together and store them in a database.

I'm doing it by just requiring specification of each individual tool I want to summarize. It's a bit of a hassle, but not so bad in the context of a workflow.
