Question: Error in docker when using smtp_server

I am running galaxy in docker which is working. But when I configure the smtp server it gives the following error:

The -s/--socket option is missing and stdin is not a socket.

As smtp_server I use smtp.gmail.com:587

Is some one familiar with this error? And has it to do with docker or galaxy?

The error is likely a problem with the uWSGI install/version/setup.

Double check that your configuration set up as described in the Galaxy Docs: https://docs.galaxyproject.org/en/master/admin/authentication.html#user-activation

This is the admin training for setting up SMTP (it is not configured in Docker Galaxy by default as far as I know): https://github.com/galaxyproject/dagobah-training/search?q=smtp&unscoped_q=smtp

For reference, this is the default configuration for Docker Galaxy: https://hub.docker.com/r/bgruening/galaxy-stable/~/dockerfile/

Thanks for the response, I will try to run galaxy outside docker to check if it is a docker or galaxy thing. Think it is better to rule that out first.

I will come back to this later if other people also run into this, got other things to work on so this needed to wait.
