Hello , I tried creating a new history without deleting previous one. Now I can not see my old history and any of its files. Though i can see still see that for my account I am using 43% of allocated memory space.
Hi,
This FAQ explains how to find your histories:
Thanks! Jen, Galaxy team
Really, I couldn't find my histories. I tried the instructions from FAQ. Found nothing. I worked on it yesterday. Please help.
Are you logged in with a registered account? If not, the data may actually be gone. Anonymous access is possible but data is not retained and certain tools cannot be used.
Also, are you sure that you ran the analysis on the same Galaxy server that you are working on now? Many will look the same without close inspection of the URL.
Multiple accounts should not be used at any public Galaxy server (quota is one account per user). Still, it is possible to create these and mix up where you did the analysis. Duplicate accounts are routinely screened for with an automatic admin process and all linked accounts/data detected as being associated with the same user are deleted. If you are using multiple accounts by accident (did not understand the terms), first merge whatever data you want to keep into a single account and then send an email to galaxy-bugs@lists.galaxyproject.org and state which account to retain and which account(s) to delete as a duplicate. Being proactive about this will prevent account locks/data loss. User > Terms and Conditions https://usegalaxy.org/static/terms.html
If those don't resolve the problem, where are you using Galaxy? Meaning, the URL of the public server or are you using a local/docker/cloudman (version? source?). There could be a server-side issue.
Update: I checked your account at Galaxy Main https://usegalaxy.org and see multiple histories, both active and permanently deleted.
I followed the instructions in the FAQ:
- Saved Histories
- Advanced search
- status == all
Can you see how much memory your user account is using?
