Question: Galaxy: Tablebrowser, SRA, FastQC_out not opening in middle tab

Dear Galaxy Staff,

I am involved in teaching NGS with Galaxy. I have noticed that the table browser, SRA don't open in the middle frame of browser as they used to. They open as a new browser window. I used multiple browsers (Firefox and Chrome). Is this usual?

Both of these functions go out to the external target site where data retrieval settings are made. Once the query is submitted on the external form, the results are sent to the active Galaxy history as a dataset and the browser window returns to Galaxy.

This is how the processing has been done, within the same browser window/tab (an additional new tab/window is not spawned), for all browsers that I have used for at least the prior 6 years.

If this is what you are also finding, then this is the expected functionality.
