Question: Python error setting up a Galaxy local

Hi, I want to install Galaxy on my computer and I run into a problem. The error message that I got is: Command "python setup.py egg_info" failed with error code 1 in /private/var/folders/rd/vgfkx6zd1csfd6mpdl27d6h51qdxtb/T/pip-build-tt09e7xa/mercurial/

How can I install Galaxy having Python 2 and Python 3 on my computer? Command virtualenv seems not to work (command not found). Thank you for any suggestions

Was this ever solved? I'm running into the same issue with release 17.09
