I would like to upload illumina highseq 2000 raw read file (GB) to galaxy server via FTP. I have gone through galaxy ftp upload and ftp server. But it is not connecting to server. After installation and configuration of ftp server I use following commands and it is giving login error. While I was using the same email address and passward which is registered for galaxy.

ftp usegalaxy.org

Connected to usegalaxy.org.

This FTP server allows users to upload large data to the Galaxy server at:

   https://usegalaxy.org/

Your login uses the same credentials as your Galaxy login - email address and
 password.

Once files are successfully uploaded, the list of files available for importing
in to a history will be displayed in the regular Upload tool. For assistance,
 please contact:

   galaxy-bugs@bx.psu.edu

Files uploaded via FTP and not imported to a history within three days will be
 deleted.

Try executing passive command while in the ftp> prompt. Some firewalls/systems have problems with active ftp connection mode.
