Question: Get Data -> Upload File gets a "Failed: Bad Request (400)" error on Galaxy Main

Hello!

I am trying to upload a small fasta file (less than 10KB) to a Galaxy Main at http://usegalaxy.org in three different ways:

  1. Choose local file
  2. Choose FTP file
  3. Paste/Fetch data

However, all my attempts gets a "Failed: Bad Request (400)" message.

What is the file type? What options are you selecting on the upload form? Defaults or setting some of the metadata?

Try defaults as a first pass solution as certain datatypes were problematic a bit ago and I have not retested since the most recent base code update (see https://trello.com/c/tNiBsiL5).

Please let us know if the workaround (using default options) resolves the problem or not. Jen, Galaxy team

I'm seeing intermittent http:400 errors when trying to upload as well. @i.glukhov, can you shed some light on this 'miracle' solution you spoke of 9 months ago? :)
