Question: workflow error tool_state

Hello,

 

I'm getting an error when I try to change de default attribute of some tool in Galaxy workflow. When I change it and try to save, it gives me a "tool_state" error. The message is a little big so I won't post here unless you want to.

As a quick solution - it maybe possible to delete the tool (in the workflow editor) then add it in again from the left-side tool menu. Many tools were updated and reloading them solves version issues. This may be the ultimate solution - but we'd still like to know the tool/parameter that is producing an issue in the editor if you have time to send it.

I think you do could produce the same error. You need to build a workflow with a tool that has some input parameter which type is select. If you try to change the default value of this parameter in the workflow you get the error that I said before.

I found out what it was. I couldn't use the word "type" as an input param name. It causes the error I was getting.
